Google has rolled out a fix for its Chromecast product after users were unable to use the streaming device for nearly 12 hours.
By 20:46 last night, Google confirmed the reports were a result of a glitch on its side, and that it was working on it.
A spokesperson for the company confirmed to TechCrunch that there's a Google Home and Chromecast outage that's affecting some of its users.
Those complaining to the Made By Google account on Twitter have been advised to reboot their smart speaker and their WiFi router. What's more, those with a Google Chromecast were unable to stream content from their phones, laptops or tablets to the TV, despite the Chromecast protocol still working on other devices.
