INDIANAPOLIS-Record stores across IN are celebrating non-digital music, especially vinyl records, on Record Store Day, which is Saturday.
Corner Record Shop in Grandville joined in the celebration with live music in the store all day.

"As a record store owner it's pretty cool to see as CD sales decline, record sales increasing", said Brady Bredell, Owner of Mother's. Hundreds of limited-edition titles will be sold at independent record stores like the Princeton Record Exchange, and special music events will be held across the country in honor of the event. Although the event began in the United States, Record Store Day has official worldwide organizers in the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Mexico, Japan and Spain. "Everything being released is an exclusive limited edition".
Record Store Day celebrates vinyl
The third Saturday of every April is Record Store Day and to celebrate people in La Crosse gathered to play music of their own. Grimey's has a long history and reputation as one of the United States' finest independent record stores, and for good reason.
Speakertree is Lynchburg's only local record store and has been in business almost 10 years.
Vinyl lovers like McGlothin plan to attend Record Store Day on Saturday at Speakertree at 901 Jefferson St. from 9 a.m.to 7 p.m.
The increase in record sales are driven mostly be a re-release of classic albums.
"We were instantly exposed to a community of people that appreciate art and vision, and it shaped and molded our view on our local music community", he said.
