Suspended Oakland Raiders player Aldon Smith has reportedly entered rehab following an alleged domestic violence incident over the weekend. He added Smith fled the San Francisco home before officers arrived.
Smith was detained for public intoxication past year after a auto crash with an unmarked police vehicle. Smith's girlfriend, who reported the crime, said he bit her arm before climbing out the window of his residence in San Francisco, according to The Mercury News.
He signed a one-year contract with the Raiders in 2015 but was suspended by the National Football League midway through that season.
Smith, 28, hasn't played since being suspended midway through the 2015 season after pleading guilty to an August 2015 DUI and hit-and-run incident. "The guy's name is Aldon Smith".

Smith has a long legal record.
After evading police for more than 24 hours, Smith was taken to a rehab facility at his request, according to TMZ Sports.
Smith's fiance said she is anxious about Smith and he needs help.
"I wish the best for Aldon", she said.

The troubled linebacker has been arrested several times on charges of drunken driving, vandalism and illegal possession of assault rifles among other charges since the San Francisco 49ers drafted him in 2011 in the first round.
Smith's contract was set to expire on March 14 but his rights would have remained with Oakland if he was reinstated by the NFL.

The men, ranging in age from 24 to 47, have been charged with various offences including theft, burglary and trespassing. The destruction of a Lidl in Fortunestown Lane has prompted outrage from Irish people.
His Raiders career consisted of nine games during the 2015 season.
