KXIP vs KKR Live Score

Epic Games announced yesterday evening one of its most popular games right now, Fortnite Battle Royale, is set to launch on iOS.

With literally billions of potential players to be found exclusively on such mobile devices, Fortnite could help pave the way for other major 3D games to make the leap to a mobile market that is often unjustly seen as an indie-and-puzzle game backwater.

The bad news is Android fans will have to wait a little while longer, though support is planned for farther down the line in the next few months. On several levels, "Fortnite" is similar to "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" - often known as "PUBG" - which is another massively popular battle-royale style video game. It's an interesting move from a console maker that continues to stand in the way of cross-console play between the PS4 and Xbox One or Switch. You'd have to imagine that console/PC players would have an advantage.

He's preached patience to investors while pointing to strong results in the firm's other businesses, including investment banking. Blankfein, 63, has run Goldman since 2006, and ran the NY firm through the housing market bubble and subsequent financial crisis.

"Fortnite" players will be able to play cross-platform when the game becomes available on mobile devices.

Epic Games did not give us an exact release for Fortnite: Battle Royale for Android.

In their announcement post, Epic revealed that thanks to a partnership with Sony, players on mobile will be able to eventually opt in to cross platform play, allowing friends to play together on PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and eventually Android devices. We don't mean a mobile game tie-in like a match three puzzler or card battler either - this is literally Fortnite as it plays on platforms.

"Starting Monday, March 12, sign-up at www.Fortnite.com for the Invite Event on iOS", says the Fortnite team. This slow roll-out will take place over the coming months, the company has admitted, suggesting that it will be taking things slowly at first to ensure the launch goes as smoothly as possible. Those who receive invites will also get friend invite codes to share with others.

Fortnite's mobile edition requires an internet connection (of course), and an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017 device or newer.
