Waiting longer than most for a head-coaching opportunity, Arians turned heads in 2012 when he stepped in for ailing Colts coach Chuck Pagano, guiding the team to nine wins and three losses and earning Coach of the Year honors. With Arians possibly stepping away, this means more Cardinals coaching rumors.
"Over the years, I've had teammates who made a decision to hang it up and I would ask them how they knew when it was time to walk away", Palmer wrote. "Quite simply, I just know".
Palmer's 2017 season - and ultimately his career - ended when he broke his left arm on October 22 in London in a game against the Los Angeles Rams. There wasn't one second that I took for granted or failed to appreciate what a tremendous privilege it is.
Two arrested for killings of four in Troy
White , 38, were arraigned Saturday in Troy City Court on several charges, including first-degree murder and second-degree murder. Troy Police told Post-Star newspartners NewsChannel 13 that court appearances were scheduled for the suspects early Saturday.
The No. 1 overall pick in 2003 out of USC, Palmer spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals, where he went to the playoffs twice and the Pro Bowl twice. He first became a head coach in 1983 at Temple and led the Owls for six seasons, compiling a 27-39 record.
A three-time Pro Bowl selection (2005, 2006, 2015), Palmer finishes his National Football League career with 46,247 passing yards, good for 12th all-time at the time of his retirement. Of course, if not for a pair of untimely ACL injuries during the 2006 playoffs and 2014 regular season, things could have been different for Palmer.
The retirement of Palmer, though not unexpected, leaves the Cardinals without a quarterback on their roster. Arizona could look to sign a quarterback in free agency or explore their options in the draft. To wrap up his career, Palmer landed in the Arizona desert in April of 2013 and spurred one of the most successful runs in the history of the Cardinals in that state, accumulating a 38-21-1 record as a starter.

Davidson, 50, joined the Broncos after the team ranked 23rd with 40 sacks allowed in 2016 and 19th with 39 sacks allowed in 2015.
"Now it's time for something else, and I'm excited to find out exactly what that will be".
