Alameda, Calif. • Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio was sacked Sunday after his third year when the impressive turnaround job he engineered for his hometown team collapsed with a disappointing six-win season.
Del Rio was sacked just one year after leading the team to a 12-4 record and the Raiders' first playoff berth in well over a decade.

I'm not saying that I will come to politics (smiles). "My political entry is definite". You also have to strategise. "So, on December 31, I will reveal my political plans".
The Raiders had high expectations coming into the 2017 season after improving from 7-9 in Del Rio's first year to 12-4 in 2016 and the franchise's first playoff appearance in 14 years.
In three years in Oakland, Del Rio was 25-23. Gruden was 95-81 in six seasons in Tampa Bay.
