Content shot by the Mirage camera is wirelessly uploaded to Google Photos and YouTube, where it can be viewed either as a VR video through a headset, or as a 180-degree video which can be panned around with a mouse on the desktop, or by tilting a smartphone or tablet.
Lenovo has revealed a pair of new devices to capture and view virtual reality content, under the company's Mirage sub-brand. Along with this device, Lenovo has launched the Lenovo Mirage Camera with Daydream technology to let the user capture their own VR video in a broad 180 degrees and then watch it on Lenovo Mirage Solo. Google still hasn't gone into much detail about the WorldSense tracking technology, but Lenovo said the system can keep track of your surroundings up to 1.5m away from you.
Lenovo Mirage Solo is the first standalone Daydream VR headset
There's no need for you to connect the Mirage Solo to a powerful PC or phone, and the easy setup requires no wires or external sensors. The lightweight design is one of the Mirage Camera's big strengths, alongside dual 13MP fisheye lenses, built-in Wi-Fi and optional LTE connectivity.
With a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage on board, as well as a 2560 x 1440 pixel display inside across both eyes, it sounds a lot like a typical 2017 flagship phone. There's also no need for a smartphone, which means no annoying notifications. The controller can also serve as an in-game controllable object (Lenovo gives the example of its being used as a baseball bat or a steering wheel for racing games). The standard is created to streamline content acquisition for delivery to VR headsets, using dual-lens 180-degree cameras with 3D support rather than 360-degree models. A tripod thread is built into the bottom, so it is obvious that Lenovo wants you to take this with you wherever you go.
Four Kashmiri cricketers arrested for respecting Pakistani national anthem
While talking to Kashmir Reader, Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora confirmed the incident and that an FIR has been filed. As per local reports, the police have arrested 4 Kashmiri cricketers and are on the lookout of the organisers of the event.
Lenovo's positioning the Mirage Solo as the flawless compliment to its YouTube-focused VR180 Mirage Camera, which it announced separately on Tuesday.
Given that all of the hardware is stuffed into the headset itself, the comfort yielded here is remarkable, but expected since PSVR employs a similar solution of front-loading the weight of the Mirage Solo on the top of your forehead.
