Producer Harvey Weinstein became synonymous with sexual harassment after the New York Times exposed his history of predatory behaviour against women in October past year.
Some of Hollywood's most powerful women have teamed up to launch an initiative aimed at combating sexual harassment inside and outside their industry after an avalanche of allegations set in motion by the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
"We fervently urge the media covering the disclosures by people in Hollywood to spend equal time on the myriad experiences of individuals working in less glamorized and valorized trades", the group says in its full-page ad.
There will also be a legal fund to help women protect themselves from sexual misconduct.

The Time's Up project is described as a "unified call for change from women in entertainment for women everywhere".
"Harassment too often persists because perpetrators and employers never face any consequences", read a "letter of solidarity" on the group's website.
Celebrities have united to back the Time's Up movement, which was created to end sexual harassment in the workplace, jumping to throw cash at the cause's GoFundMe page online. Time's up on tolerating discrimination, harassment or abuse.
The initiative was formally unveiled in a story by The New York Times, and its mission was laid out in an open letter signed by hundreds of women in the show business.
