Acer has been showcasing its new Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop which is expected to launch during April 2018 within the United Kingdom and North America with prices starting from £899 or $799 depending on your location.
At CES 2018, Acer showcased three new laptops: the AMD-powered Nitro 5 gaming laptop, the elegant and ultra-lightweight Swift 7 and a revamped Chromebook 11 with a USB Type-C port for those on a tighter budget.
Windows 10 is running the show, as expected, and the laptop will get you up to 10 hours of battery life according to Acer.
Acer has also upgraded the screen from a 13.3-inch display to a 14-inch IPS5 panel on the new Swift 7.
Jio cuts tariff by Rs
The move will come into effect just days before the ongoing Jio promotion with cashback and vouchers of up to Rs. 3,300 ends. Now with this latest offers, Rs 199, Rs 399, Rs 459 and Rs 499 plans will cost Rs 50 less.
Acer's Swift 7 runs on Windows 10 and also highlights how PC makers are looking to LTE for an always-connected approach. Some connectivity features of the gaming laptop includes USB Type-C, HDMI 2.0, and Gigabit Ethernet.
You also get 256 GB of PCIe SSD storage and 8GB of LPDDR3 memory for fast and responsive performance. The laptop will be released in North America in February starting at $599. Sadly, the thinnest laptop in the world is also a lot more expensive than thicker machines with similar specs.
Set to launch its mysterious Zuma mission
Zuma will be the first before the company premiers its new Falcon Heavy rocket, sometime later in January. The Falcon 9 rocket will carry Zuma, a US government spacecraft, into low-Earth orbit.
The Acer Nitro 5 will be available in North America in April with prices starting at US$799; and in EMEA in April with prices starting at EUR1,099.

The device is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core processor and it offers a maximum battery life of 12 hours. Acer claims it is the thinnest notebook in the world yet with a thickness of 8.98mm with the lid down. The Nitro 5 will launch sometime in April. At just 8.98mm thin, it packs the seventh-generation Intel Core i7 processor coupled with a 14-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080p. Its fanless design is made for those who will use it in shared spaces, such as students, and it comes with an 11.6-inch display.
