The four teens, ages 13 and 14, were allegedly seen leaving the area of the overpass after the incident, police said.
HuffPost is not identifying the defendants because they have been charged in juvenile court.
Four teenagers have been charged with murder after a man in a vehicle that was hit by a sandbag thrown from a highway overpass in OH died, NBC News reported.
The driver, who was heading south on I-75, was not injured.
Police and a prosecutor have said the teens threw other objects from the overpass that night.

The teens entered a denial to the murder charges when they appeared in court Wednesday, The Toledo Blade reported. He had been on his way to meet friends in Toledo.
"Young, energetic, outgoing, lovable. He had a bright smile", King said. "She's holding up the best she can".

Ms. Olender cited a December, 2016 case in which a 14-year-old Toledo girl was accused of fatally shooting her brother.
"I would appreciate if [the boys' parents] could at least call my aunty and tell her they're sorry", Byrd's cousin, Shaveontae King, told Toledo's newspaper, The Blade.
Olender said that the children were charged with two counts of vehicular vandalism because they had struck another auto with a rock, though no one was injured in that instance.
They were charged with felonious assault, but now face murder charges after Byrd's passing.
